Always good fun! These are often commissioned to mark a special event such as a retirement or birthday. Kenneth Williams was the subject for one of a series of magazines about the "Carry on" films. Kevin Whately featured in a similar publication. Each week a profile of one of the characters would appear, together with a portrait in the style of the painting shown. The boy and elephant are part of a story sequence, an example from a current series based around different animals in their habitats.
